Iraq

We developed a multi-lingual permanent exhibition and an audio-tour of the Shrine of Nahum, to be used both by on-site guests and by virtual online visitors.

Greece

Together with the island of Elafonisos and the town of Neapolis, we are preparing this summer’s Family Event celebrating the underwater archaeological site of Pavlopetri. As in past events, it will include activities for all age groups.

Europe

We held the first ARCH-Europe “Salon” in the historic town of Gumpoldskirchen, Austria. Topics ranged from Rumi – a philosopher beyond Islam, to Climate Change and its effects on Alpine cultural landscapes. View a recap (video clips are in German).

Together with our sister organization ARCH-Europe, we developed a free Audio-Tour for the historic Annahütte Hiking Trail. Currently in the English language, soon to be followed by a German-language version. The Audio-Guide is perfect for hikers as it includes detailed geo-tags, and it can also be used by everyone who’d like to virtually walk along the path to the former mountain hut, crossing over into Slovenia from Austria. Learn more about our efforts around the hut.  Thanks to Tyler Bushnell for his continuous help with ARCH’s Audio Tour offers.

Afghanistan

We hosted a Rumi Day in Washington, D.C. and participated in the International Children’s Festival at the Ronald Reagan Center. We also published the children’s book Musiqar – The Magical Bird based on an ancient story and we designed StoryMaps (virtual journeys) exploring different historic and cultural themes.
